eMarketing Firm Extends Reach to Non-Profit Organizations

eROI enters the Holiday season with several pro bono clients that help children and the environment

PORTLAND, Ore. (November 22, 2004) eROI, Inc., a full-service e-marketing firm, has extended its reach throughout the Portland community, lending its email and e-commerce expertise to several pro-bono, non-profit clients, like Start Making a Reader Today (SMART), Friends of the Children, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Help Out Public Education (HOPE), and the Audubon Naturalist Society.

"eROI believes strongly in supporting the Portland community and beyond. We focus on non-profits who help children and the environment. Non-profits like Friends of the Children and Audubon Naturalist Society are fantastic at generating results for their causes, but often don't have the expertise or tools to effectively measure their marketing efforts. We help empower organizations like these to keep members informed of upcoming events and issues and aiding in fundraising efforts. The non-profits we work with have been so appreciative and have really helped eROI. It's truly a win-win," said Ryan Buchanan, President, eROI.

eROI provides SMART with full-service email marketing, web development and event registration. eROI recently worked with SMART, along with partner agency Anvil Media, to promote the SMART Gala silent auction event, which netted the organization $9,000 in 2004 and $8,000 in 2003. eROI designed the site and took in all online event registration through its e-commerce-enabled event registration engine. Once the site was designed and event registration was live, eROI managed an email campaign to reach a target audience of young Portland professionals, who would not have normally heard of SMART, but were excited by the event and learning more about the organization. Using its trackable email marketing tool, called emailROI, SMART was easily able to determine how much money it made in event registration and sponsorship from each email campaign.

eROI helped Friends of the Children get up and running with email marketing. The organization launched its Holiday event newsletter to a thousand of its closest Friends. Friends of the Children can currently track which of its Friends read or clicked on the email to determine how effective its marketing campaigns are.

eROI worked with the Audubon Naturalist Society on email design and email strategies for its environmental e-newsletter kick-off. eROI showed the society how to position Audubon in its newsletter, how to use newsletter sign-up on their site and how to use lead capture tools. Audubon is leaping 50 years ahead in technology use and perception in the environmental community with just this newsletter.

For Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Oregon, eROI helped the organization in promoting fund-raising and awareness for its events and newsletter. eROI also did email design and training. The foundation is now self-service, using the email ROI email marketing software.

For Help Out Public Education (HOPE), an organization that lobbies for support and education policy and reform, eROI provided emailROI email training and self-service emailROI.

eROI works with over 30 non-profit organizations. For a full list, please visit www.eroi.com.
