Silent Hill
When leading video game publisher Konami released a terrifying complement to cinematic fright fest The Silent Hill Experience, an equally horrific viral interactive piece was needed. eROI developed a Flash-powered send-to-friend site inviting users to upload snapshots of friends (or themselves), then hack the unlucky subject to pieces by applying a variety of gory image overlays (a bloody axe or knife hilt, or a gruesome and bleeding scar, for instance). The user could then send the truly horrifying image to a terror-keen friend, providing the recipient a link to learn about the game, or create a gruesome image themself.
